This German comedy about a gay goalkeeper who is ostracised by his team and then challenges them to beat him and his new gay team is released by Peccadillo Pictures. The disc is out on 6th November 2006 and the screener copy reviewed here was non-anamorphic with a softish transfer. The colour balance lacks some punch and the film is rather grainy. The stereo sound is adequate but with such a good pop soundtrack more quality here would have been welcome.

The disc is in German with burnt in English subs. The subtitles are legible and free of spelling mistakes with good translation so none of the humour is lost. There are no extras here. This is far from stellar stuff and the price tag may seem a little excessive given the lack of extras. Perhaps the full street copy will boast a better transfer and more extras like the R1 disc which also has 5.1 sound, but if you want to own this the R1 release may be a better call.
