As well as the usual trailers and poster and design galleries there are a host of documentaries, including an hour long one that reunites all of the major players, discussing how the film came to be. For fans, this is un-missable stuff.

Schwarzenneger obviously takes great pleasure in reminiscing over the character and what it did to put him on the Hollywood map. Also, it is refreshing to see a po-faced Oliver Stone regret that he didn't get to make a mega-budgeted Conan film every year, like some hyped up Bond franchise, with swords and mutants. Best of all, though, is the outtake that sees a panicked Schwarzenneger savaged by some angry wild dogs with sharp teeth. Crom!

For fans of the actual character, there's a shorter, but no less interesting, documentary that details the history of Conan before he reached the silver screen and of his creator Robert E. Howard. Fantasy and comic book legends such as Michael Moorcock and Roy Thomas throw in their two cents worth here. Educational for the more fantastical minded of you out there.

Then there is the commentary. John Milius and Arnold Schwarzenneger basically get together for a laugh and in the process provide laughs for us. Milius does the director thing - detailing influences, ideas, what's good and bad about the film. Schwarzenneger simply says what he sees.

Great to know that he isn't actually as clever as the characters he plays.
