Image present Tsukamoto's film in anamorphic widescreen in keeping with the theatrical aspect ratio. The transfer is excellent with terrific contrast, resounding sharpness and beautiful true colours. Gemini is a film where a lot happens at night or in darkness and I saw no grain but did see everything! The audio track - Japanese (with English subs) - is nigh perfect with the stereo track having no pops, hiss or distortion to report.
With respect to the extras, the best included here is the Takashi Miike making of. Miike does this relatively straightforwardly and image have presented in on the disc so that you don't need to change your aspect ratio. It is such a relief when DVD companies remember to do this! The English subtitles are excellent and clear with no typos.
In summary this disc will be difficult to top than this fine package. A 5.1 track might be nice along with a commentary by a Tsukamoto specialist would add to it but this is rather good as it stands.
