Artificial eye present When Father Was Away on Business in non-anamorphic ratio which is disappointing but a definite improvement on the full-frame presentation it got on region one DVD. The transfer is good enough but the original print is somewhat colourless with occasional blemishes, and I did spot one moment of combing when Mesa searched in the woods for Malik The print is very sharp though and the contrast is well balanced.

The audio track is good with only a small amount of distortion in louder musical moments but little track noise otherwise. The distortion is brief and barely noticeable. The removable English Subs are easy to read, clear and always make sense.

The extras for the disc include part of the same interview you will find on Do You Remember Dolly Bell and again Kusturica speaks in English. He states that his desire was to give a sense of the time in Yugoslavia's history when Tito broke from Russia and to give that "mythology" to a western audience. There is a short Director Biography and trailers for Black cat White Cat, Life is a Miracle and Underground.

Overall this is a good presentation which would have been improved if the film had been presented nearer Original Aspect ratio and anamorphically. It still represents a major improvement on the Koch Lorber disc available on R1.
