Out Of Time transfers well onto DVD, as you would expect, being a recent film. In particular, the vibrant colours of tropical South Florida are captured superbly by the clarity that heightened picture quality affords. However, in terms of Extras, it is a pretty pedestrian offering, with the usual special features fare, including director's commentary, a Making Of featurette, character profiles and outtakes.

The Crime Scene featurette is engaging, taking an interesting look at Carl Franklin's directorial approach and Denzel Washington's acting style, although the other actors do seem a touch sycophantic with their talk of Washington's "incredible" technique.

There are only two scenes - what's the point of that? - in the Outtakes and neither involve Denzel fluffing his lines. Perhaps, he never does.

The Character Profiles seem a little pointless. Considering that most people will watch the film before trawling though the special features, they don't share anything that isn't obvious in the movie.

Basically, the Extras are fun, but don't add any genuine insights and you wouldn't miss anything if you skipped them all together.
