Edinburgh Film Festival Springs into action in 2002

  Ben Chaplin in Birthday Girl
  Murderous Maids
As a taster of things to come the EIFF is showcasing seven new films, screening over seven successive nights.

The Spring programme premieres at the Edinburgh Filmhouse, and subsequently tours to Glasgow (GFT) and London (Curzon Soho).

"Showing for the first time in the UK, these are smart, challenging and provocative films that, without the opportunity of a festival berth, could otherwise go unseen in this country," says Edinburgh film festival director Shane Danielsen. "It's indicative of our desire to bring the best of world cinema to our audience as often, and as quickly, as we can."

Read the reviews: Lantana; Baran; The Days Between; Elling; The Man From Elysian Fields; Murderous Maids; Sur Mes Levres.

Dates
Edinburgh Filmhouse 6 - 12 March (see EdinburghGuide.com listings)
Glasgow Film Theatre 7 - 13 March (see GFT site)
Curzon Soho 15 - 21 March (see Scoot)
