Running time 94 minutes

BOASTING a "cameo" from David Bowie (though as he is the only famous name to publicise the film you wouldn't know it), this is the story of Owen, a 12 yr old with leukemia who's best friend Mr Rice (Bowie) dies suddenly leaving a tantalising secret unknown. Owen will not tell his friends he is ill so copes with his leukemia alone and tries to spend his summer discovering Mr Rice's secret whilst his parents worry and try and protect him from the world. A more challenging sounding pre-teen movie than most.
