SORRY, this adventure of the singin' and dancin' great purple dinoblob is not that "great". The decision to move away from the bumptious television formula, with its packs of giggling children and signature tunes, "Barney is a Dinosaur" and "I Love You" (because of copyright problems), towards a more thoughtful, but ultimately dull story about 3 kids and magic Barney-doll down on the grandma and grandpa's farm, was an unwise one. It even tries to poke a little fun at ole Barn. We can't have that. Well, not if we are under five and Barney barmy.
