OK, a naff title, right? Who is Tad Hamilton ?

It turns out, he's the latest Hollywood heart-throb, who, according to his agent (Nathan Lane), is in need of a kick up the backside to get him the dream part in a new movie ahead of other actors. How to do it? Tad (Josh Duhamel) must be prepared to enter a competition where the prize is a date with him - after all, what would a young girl give for an evening out with this Hollywood hunk and how much more approachable would he look if he agreed to it?

The competition runs and a small town shop assistant (Kate Bosworth) wins the prize. Then it's a kind of paint-by-numbers romance - girl falls in love with star, but finds him arrogant; he goes into date, expecting nothing, but falls for her, too. Meanwhile her friend, who happens to be her boss, agonizes, because he's in love with her as well, but can't bring himself to say so.

Win A Date With Tad Hamilton is a teen romance that isn't memorable, since its mostly fluff, although while playing, it's reasonable to watch. Bosworth does her best to give it sparkle, but it's really one of those movies that girls might pick for a girlie night out, or teen couples go to as long as the boy doesn't choose.
