Hannah McGill has decided to step down from her role as artistic director of the Edinburgh International Film Festival. McGill has been at the helm of the EIFF since 2006 and curated her first film festival in 2007. Prior to that she was a programme consultant for the festival for five years.
BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT, today announced the launch of the “Digital Revolutions” short film competition, with Sheffield Doc/Fest, the biggest documentary film festival in the UK and Crossover, an international digital media and content programme.
A collaboration between ICO (the Independent Cinema Office) and LUX has led to the commissioning of seven International artists to produce a series of short films which have been shown in Cannes in the past week alongside feature films like the thriller The Ghost and British satire Four Lions.
